Pens for Troops

Rik Pierce, Club Vice President

The Villages Woodworkers Club is part of a nation-wide effort to support our Armed Forces.  VWC members spend every third Tuesday turning square wooden blanks into retractable pens which are donated for distribution to our troops.

Kudos to Elliot Schantz and his fellow pen turners (especially Ron Gammon). The group produced 649 pens in 2019 for our “Pens for the Troops” project.

For February we turned 43 pens.

Year to date number is 125 pens.

The program total is 1650.

Please note that we turn pens on the 4th Tuesday from 4 to 6.
